HOPE Pantry
Our pantry is available to students and families in our District struggling with food insecurity. Food support requests are confidential, and there are no income guidelines or proof of income required.
The Ames HOPE pantry is located throughout the District at Mitchell Elementary and Edwards Elementary and our newest location at the AMES Center. All pantries are available to students and families in our District struggling with food insecurity. In addition the pantry also has small amounts of school supplies, hygiene, and household items. Food support requests are confidential, and information will only be shared with the student and family advocate (SFA) who fulfills the request. There are no income guidelines or proof of income required.
Families can access any of the pantries two times per month (excluding emergency situations). Students and families may also contact the SFA assigned to their building. Once a food request is fulfilled, pick up arrangements can be made with the SFA who will fulfill the request.
