Facilities Rental
According to the Community Use of Facilities Policy, the District welcomes the public to use school facilities for approved purposes when use does not conflict with the District mission, when the facilities are not being used for District educational programs and activities, and upon agreement for payment of rental charges that at a minimum ensure cost recovery.
General Guidelines
Non-available dates include, but are not be limited to, District holidays, non-workdays (scheduled holidays), weekends associated with a holiday, and the weekends before and after winter and spring breaks. Events cannot be scheduled on these dates.
Building use times on available dates are as follows:
- After regular school hours until 10 p.m.
- Weekends between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m.
- Under special arrangements with approval of the Superintendent.
Rental rates require a 2-hour minimum charge. Other areas (parking lots, grass areas, etc.,) may be reserved or rented upon approval of the Director of Facilities Planning and Management. Generally, conference rooms and the Board Room in the District Offices building are not available for rent. The Superintendent must approve exceptions. See board policy for further guidelines and details.
Facilities Usage Scheduler
The District reserves the right to grant or deny District facility use requests at its sole discretion in consideration of District priorities and best interests. District facilities are not available for private parties such as wedding receptions, family or company picnics, birthday parties, or graduation parties.
The District requires a signed rental agreement and Hold Harmless Agreement for all requests for public usage of facilities. All community groups are responsible for their own insurance coverage and renters are responsible for damages resulting from use.
