About this event
Join us for frost covered fun at Winter Break Camps! Children will get the chance to explore the Gardens while doing science and STEM experiments, artistic activities, and outdoor discoveries to keep their minds and bodies moving during break. Designed for students in grades 1-5 (Ages 6-10).
Please register for individual days separately. Preregistration with prepayment required by Thursday, December 22.
Dates and Themes
December 27: Ice, Ice, Baby – Get ready for a day of experimenting! Campers will become scientists and conduct their own experiments to test the different properties of water.
December 28: Home for the Holidays – Explore the different winter habitats for our animal friends here in Iowa! Enjoy story time and naturalist-led activities to learn more about where different organisms go during the winter months.
December 29: Nifty Difties – Here at the Reiman Gardens, we’re big fans of upcycling—transforming unwanted items into something useful and beautiful! Prepare for a day of creativity and engineering activities.
December 30: Grinch Day – You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch! Join us for a day of crafts, stories, snacks and more – all centered around our favorite green grump.
