About this event
Project SEARCH at Iowa State University is a workforce and career development program focused on supporting young adults with disabilities as they transition from school to the workforce.
Designed as a collaborative, year-long internship, it combines classroom instruction, career exploration, and hands-on work experience in a variety of university departments and community sites.
Interns work with job coaches and mentors who help build essential workplace skills, such as communication, time management, and task-specific proficiencies tailored to each intern’s
career goals. By the end of the program, the aim is for each intern to gain both the confidence and qualifications needed to secure meaningful employment, fostering independence and community involvement.
