Lott Music Studio Summer Camp

2024 Lott Music Studio Summer Camp is coming!!!

Ages: 5-16
Dates: June 10 – June 21
Daily Schedule: 9am – 1pm
Performance: June 22 @ Ames City Auditorium

In our summer camp we encourage controlled chaos! We want kids to be involved in every aspect of the performance:

Singing and dancing
Acting
Designing the set and costumes
Writing the script
And more!
We’ll be having a 2 week program working 4h/day (9am to 1pm) with a brief snack break in the middle (we’ll provide the snacks). After all the work, we’ll have a performance at Ames City Auditorium on Saturday, June 22nd.

We will get a revue and we’ll only use the music! So the kids will be completely in charge on the storyline that connects all songs!

Everybody will be welcome to do as much as they feel comfortable with; roles will be decided and assigned by the program coordinator, but we will take into account students’ preferences and whether or not they want to sing solos. We will also have place for kids who want to learn, sing, dance and have a great time, but don’t feel comfortable on the stage. As with everything at Lott Music Studio, our main goal is to learn and have fun, accepting student’s boundaries and making sure music doesn’t become a burden or a chore.

Everyday there will be plenty of different activities to keep it fun and light! There will be a voice warm up, a role rehearsal, staging rehearsal, costume design, set design… and chaos!
