Board Member – A board member of the Ames Education Foundation plays a vital role in guiding the organization by helping set goals, making key decisions, and ensuring financial sustainability. They actively participate in meetings, collaborate on fundraising efforts, and advocate for the foundation’s mission within the community. Board members also support educational initiatives by overseeing financial allocations, strengthening partnerships, and working to enhance resources for Ames students and teachers.

Committee Chair – A committee chair for the Ames Education Foundation will lead and coordinate the efforts of their designated committee, ensuring that projects and initiatives align with AEF’s mission. They will organize meetings, delegate tasks, and collaborate with volunteers to plan events, fundraising efforts, or scholarship programs. Additionally, the chair will communicate progress to the superintendent, help recruit new volunteers, and work to strengthen community engagement in support of Ames students and schools.

Volunteer – As a volunteer for the Ames Education Foundation, you will help support fundraising efforts, assist with planning and organizing events, and promote awareness of AEF’s mission in the community. You may also participate in selecting scholarship recipients, reviewing financial support applications, or serving as a liaison between AEF and local schools. Whether behind the scenes or directly engaging with students and educators, your time and talents will make a meaningful impact on Ames schools.

Donor – A donor to the Ames Education Foundation provides essential funding that directly supports innovative classroom projects, student scholarships, and educational programs. Their generosity helps bridge financial gaps, ensuring that all students have access to enriching learning experiences in STEM, the arts, and extracurricular activities. By investing in AEF, donors make a lasting impact on the future of education in the Ames community.
