Greetings Little Cyclones,
We hope you and your family are having an amazing summer and finding time to refresh and recharge together.
Believe it or not, we are entering the time of year when we need to start preparing for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year…that includes getting ready for an exciting educational activities experience for students and parents. This email is intended to get you ready to go with important information to get your family connected so you never miss an important message or event in the upcoming year.
Bound Public Website
To get started, visit the calendar page for Ames athletic events. You and your family will be able to get everything you need from this site.
Parent/Guardian Notifications
Parents or guardians of active high school students will need to keep up with any changes or adjustments to schedules in real-time. By utilizing the “Notifications” feature in Bound, you will be able to sign up to receive notifications of changes, postponements, or cancellations in scheduled events. At the top of the Ames Bound public site, you will notice the green “Notifications” button below our mascot. This button is located in the same location on each page as you navigate from activity to activity. If you want school-wide notifications, click on this button on the Home screen and sign up – name, email, phone number, and what notifications you would like to receive. From there, navigate to the activities your student(s) are participating in or ones you want to follow and do the same. For example, if you want volleyball notifications, you will click on Activities and Volleyball. Once you land on the volleyball home page, click on the ‘Notifications’ button and sign up for notifications specific to volleyball. Repeat this process for any activities you need to stay up-to-date and in the know!

Tickets and Passes Information
We will be utilizing cashless ticketing options for the upcoming 23-24 school year. Ames is excited to offer this option and make the gate admission process easier and more convenient for our families and students. We will be offering several admission pass options to help you and your family save money all year long at our home events. When we say cashless – we mean cashless. You can pre-purchase your passes or individual tickets online ahead of time OR make use of our credit/debit card readers at the gate. No more scrambling to remember to stop by the gas station on the way to the game to get cash…use your card at the gate. Click on “Tickets” at the top of the Ames Bound public site to begin your ticketing experience today.
Ames High School Student Activity Ticket (SAT)
Please consider purchasing a Student Activity Ticket (SAT) for the 2023-24 school year. The SAT will allow your student to enter almost any AHS or AMS home athletic event, vocal/band concert, or play during the 2023-2024 school year. (State sponsored events like District or State Tournament games do not accept SATs). The cost of the SAT is $70. Students that do not have the SAT will need to pay regular student entrance fees at all AHS or AMS events.
You can purchase an SAT in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal by clicking on “Fees” and then on the “Optional Payments” tab at the bottom of the screen.
Athletic Event Admission Prices for 2023-24
Admission prices for high school athletic events will be increasing for the 2023-24 school year to help offset the rising cost of officials and equipment. The admission price structure will be in effect at all Iowa Alliance Conference members’ home games. For the updated admission prices, please check out the Ames High School Activities page.
- Varsity Football Home Events – $7.00
- All Other Sporting Events – $6.00
The following sports do not charge an admission fee: B/G Golf, B/G Cross Country, B/G Tennis (exceptions may apply for postseason events).
Ticket prices updated with the start of 2023-24 academic year in line with the Iowa Alliance Conference
Ames High School Athletic Booster Club Family Memberships
Family memberships can be purchased online on the Ames Bound website. Membership levels are:
Family – $300
- Includes 2 all athletic event passes and all family members K-5
Double Access – $150
- Includes 2 all athletic event passes
Single Access – $75
- Includes 1 all athletic event pass
10 Punch Card – $50
- Includes 10 athletic punches to be used at all athletic events throughout the 2023-24 school year.
Event passes are for home competitions and do not include substate or state playoffs.
Ames High Athletic Booster Club Booster Bash
Save the date for the 2nd Annual Ames High Athletic Booster Bash on Saturday August 26, 2023 from 7-10 pm. It’s an evening of music, recognition, and fundraising! Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at the door or online. Event takes place at Alluvial, 3715 W 19th St in Ames with food available for purchase from Comfort Food food truck. Event is for 21 and over.

The activities office is excited to kick off a new school year and we know that a lot of people are looking for new Ames High apparel. Please shop the online store and order prior to September 4, 2023.
