Cohort Groups / Student’s Teacher
Today, emails were sent out indicating student cohort groups and teachers. Student schedules were also available for Ames High and Ames Middle School. Please check your Infinite Campus Parent Portal.Technology Device Distribution Update
The Ames CSD is centralizing our device pick-up options for the safety and convenience of families. Distributions at all elementary buildings and Ames High School are now canceled. Instead, any student still needing a device can receive one between the hours of 12:00 and 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 1, and Thursday, September 3, at the following locations:
- Ames Middle School, 3915 Mortenson Road, Ames, Iowa 50014
- Ames District Office, 2005 24th Street, Ames, Iowa 50010
Any new students, Remote Campus learners, and families that did not receive a device this spring can plan to attend either of these pick-up locations. In addition, 9th-grade students can pick up their MacBook or exchange an 8th grade Chromebook at these times. All other students should keep their device from this spring.
Please pull up to the buildings, stay in your vehicle, and be prepared with the following information: student(s) first and last names, home school building(s), grade(s), and student ID number(s), if known. The appropriate devices will then be brought to you along with login information for any new students. Thank you for your continued partnership as we equip our students with these important learning tools.

Story County Test Iowa Site
A new Test Iowa clinic site is scheduled to open in Story County on Monday, August 31, 2020.
The Story County Drive-thru Test Clinic will be located at the Iowa State University Research Center, 2503 South Loop Drive in Ames, and operated by Mary Greeley Medical Center. The site will be open for testing weekly on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Individuals who wish to be tested at the site must first complete an online assessment at testiowa.com, and then call 800-866-3492 to schedule an appointment. Test Iowa is a statewide initiative to expand COVID-19 testing. Locations and hours of operation for all test sites can be found at testiowa.com or coronavirus.iowa.gov.
